AppForADay ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our mobile application, website, and services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us:

  • Account Data: If you create an event or shop, we collect your name and email.
  • Event & Shop Data: Details you input about your events (date, location) or shop (inventory, prices).
  • User Content: Photos and videos you or your guests upload to a "Socialite" gallery or "Tribute" memorial.
  • Guest Data: Names and RSVP statuses of guests who respond to your events.
  • Gift Registry Data: Preferences and interests you provide to generate AI gift suggestions.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely to provide and improve the Services:

  • To host your event, memorial, or shop page and display your photos, guestbook, and inventory.
  • To provide AI features (e.g., generating gift suggestions). We do not use your personal photos to train public AI models.
  • To communicate with you regarding critical service updates (e.g., "Your event is live").

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

  • Public/Guest Access: Any content you upload to an event or memorial page is visible to anyone who has the link.
  • Service Providers: We share data with trusted infrastructure providers (e.g., Google Firebase, Vercel) who help us run the app.
  • Payment Processors: For "The Tribute," if you set up a memorial fund, we share necessary information (like your email and event ID) with Stripe to create your connected account. We do not process or store guest payment information.
  • Affiliate Partners: If you click a gift or contribution link (Amazon, 1-800-Flowers, etc.), we redirect you to their site. We do not share your personal identity with them.

4. Data Retention (The Ephemeral Rule)

Our service is designed to be temporary, and data is deleted automatically.

  • Standard Retention (The Hustle & The Socialite): All Event and Shop data (including photos, guest lists, etc.) is permanently deleted within 24-48 hours after the event or shop expires. We do not maintain backups of this temporary data.
  • Memorial Exception (The Tribute): Memorial pages are retained for 30 days by default. If a "Forever Archive" upgrade is purchased, the data is retained for the lifetime of the AppForADay service, subject to business continuity. After the retention period ends, all associated data is permanently deleted.

5. Your Rights

You may request a copy of your data or request deletion of your event/account at any time by contacting us at support@appforaday.com.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
